Frame tags

Lets see for Frame tags in HTML.

  • <frameset> - The frameset tag is used to define a framset or area where it holds one or more <frame> elements.
    • Note: HTML5 does not support <frameset>.
    • USAGE:-
      • <frameset cols="25%,*,25%"><frame src="frame_a.htm"><frame src="frame_b.htm"><frame src="frame_c.htm"></frameset>
  • <frame> - The Frame tag create one particular window that is frame within a frameset tag. Frames can have attributes like border, scrolling etc.
    • Note: It is also not supported by HTML5.
    • USAGE:-
      • <frameset cols="25%,*,25%"><frame src="frame_a.htm"><frame src="frame_b.htm"><frame src="frame_c.htm"></frameset>
  • <noframes> - This tag is used as fallback tag for browser that do not support frames. <noframes> tag is used to link a non-frameset version of website.
    • Note: <noframes> tag is not support by HTML5.
    • USAGE:-
      • <frameset cols="30%,40%,30%"><frame src="frame_a.htm"><frame src="frame_b.htm"><noframes >Sorry, your browser does not handle frames!</noframes></frameset>
  • <iframe> - The <iframe> tag is used embed another document within the current HTML document. It is an inline frame.
    • USAGE:-
      • <iframe src="https://codenow.online"></iframe>
